Feed the Folks that Feed the Hungry!

Hey Folks,

It time again for the “Feed The Folks That Feed The Hungry” food drive at our Louisburg Farmer’s Foods location again; this time on Sept 23rd. Last year, we gathered 700 pounds of needed food for the Care & Share of Franklin County organization. Farmer’s Foods is looking forward to another successful event. This year is even more special with the help of the Triangle Blues Society bringing two bands to the event. “The Bullfrog Willard McGee” will start the music at 5pm, followed by “E-Train and The Rusted Nails” playing until 8pm. The chicken wings will start trading for donations at 4pm. We would appreciate any community bulletins that your newspapers could contribute towards the truly beneficial event for the Franklin County area. Attached is a copy of the banner.

Also, the Triangle Blues Society is having “The Swamp Doctors” band come to play at our Louisburg store on Oct 1st from 5pm-7pm. The Triangle Blues Society is a nonprofit, self funded organization of local artists and just “regular folks” that are working hard to keep the tradition of The Blues strong in the Mid Atlantic area. One of their major efforts includes the TBS Blues Challenge where local artists compete for the region’s title and sponsorship to go on to Memphis TN for the 2011 International Blues Challenge. Last year, “The Bullfrog Willard McGee” was selected to compete in the national event, and Farmer’s Foods is especially honored to have him as the opening musician at our “Feed The Folks That Feed The Hungry” food drive in Louisburg NC on Sept 23rd. Come on out and enjoy some really good music. Find out more about The Triangle Blues Society at www.triangleblues.com

Thanks to All,
